APOSITSIA
III
September 25 - October 1, 2007
Third
International Forum Apositsia will happen in St. Petersburg on
September 27 -30. This yearly event unites leading musicians
from around the world, working in different styles of contemporary
music and multimedia arts.
During
four days, Forum will acquaint the Russian public with the achievements
of contemporary music and its newest movements. People will see
modern video art and multimedia installations, visit masterclasses
and workshops.
This
year participants from Netherlands, France, USA and Canada will
come to St.Petersburg. There will be more Russian projects than
it used to be earlier.
The
opening act will happen at the Rodina cinema with the old Georgian
movie “My Grandma” (dir. Kote Mikaberidze, 1929) to the accompaniment
of Beth Custer Ensemble (USA). It’s a special project provided
by CEC ArtsLink.
We
also are going to organize a Share global meeting – media art
jam with participants from all over the world connected with
the Internet.
The
Creative Union “Apositsia” organizes APOSITSIA III with the support
of different international cultural organizations; CEC ArtsLink,
Trust for Mutual Understanding (New York), Royal Embassy of Netherlands,
the Center for the Development and Support of New Music “Devotsia
Moderna”, Cultural Center DOM (Moscow).
